At Olá Lisboa, the menu is a celebration of fresh ingredients and rich culinary heritage. Begin your meal with comforting soups like the classic Caldo Verde or a creamy Fischsuppe. This is a nice place for good seafood. The starters are the star of the show: loved the pimientos, and the potatoes (though the sauce was average), and finally the figs with sheep cheese. For the mains, the salmon was excellent. I wasn’t a huge fan of the redfish but the swordfish was good. The almond and orange sauces are both nice, but work with different things. For fish I’d recommend the orange one, but the almond one works much better for the veggies.

A wonderful little restaurant and tapas bar directly on a main crossing in the so called "portuguese quarter" in Hamburg. I've been here several times, at noon, in the evening, with friends and family. The choice and quality is great, the friendliness of the staff is amazing and honest. No matter if tapas or main dishes in the evening, or a lunch from the special menu around noon, everything was always suoer fast, freshly prepared and free of convenience products. The portion size is very good and especially the price for the lunch menu is far below what you could expect for a restaurant in such a location, not to mention this quality. I'll happily come again (and again) and totally recommend this place for every casual to even slightly formal occasion.

I really like the street or neighborhood where this restaurant is located. It’s my favorite district in Hamburg. Here you can find Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian restaurants, as well as taste their cuisine. The atmosphere is really great. It feels like you are in a Mediterranean country. The food is delicious. The food is very delicious.

I recently dined at a fantastic Portuguese restaurant and had an unforgettable experience. The octopus and salmon dishes were absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection with rich, authentic flavors that truly delighted the palate. The presentation was impeccable, and each bite was a culinary delight. The hospitality was top-notch, with waiters who were attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. Their genuine warmth and professional service elevated our dining experience even further. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy a wonderful meal and excellent service in a cozy and inviting atmosphere!

Our tour guide recommended this place for lunch, despite being a large group, we managed to get a seat outside in the sun. I ordered a beer, and the garlic prawns and salad, in the sun this combination was heavenly! The beer was nice and cold, the salad tasted fresh and crisp, and the prawns soaked in garlic sauce and cooked nicely were to die for!

Ola Lisboa – Great Food, But Watch Out for the Water Trap! Let me start with the biggest downside of our visit to Ola Lisboa: the €7.50 bottle of sparkling water that felt like a tourist scam. When the bill came, I was shocked—how could water cost more than a plate of sardines (€8.50) or nearly as much as a beer or wine? I asked the waiter, but he just smiled, leaving me feeling like an easy target. If you dine here, avoid the bottled water and order a drink instead—it’s cheaper! Now, onto the good part—the food was excellent. We had the combination platter for two (€29)**, loaded with fried peppers, crispy calamari, goat cheese wrapped in ham, dates, and garlic shrimp. Everything was flavorful and filling. The fried sardines (€8.50) were a highlight—so fresh and delicious that we devoured them whole, heads and all! Dessert was a crème brûlée, which was decent, though the sugar crust was too thick and the cream could’ve been smoother. Ola Lisboa serves authentic, tasty Portuguese dishes at fair prices—but the **ridiculous water charge** left a bad impression. If they were transparent about pricing (or just charged reasonably), this would be a solid 5-star spot. As it stands, **enjoy the food, but keep an eye on the bill!**
